Judy Blake Rediscover Passion

When you were younger you were probably passionate about a zillion things.  Maybe you loved a film so much that you had to watch it every single day.  (Mine was The Wizard of Oz, but I digress.)  Maybe you fancied a girl or guy so much that you would chase their car home after school or ride by their house hoping to catch a glimpse.  Or maybe it was dinosaurs, Legos, Barbie Dolls, dress up, carnivals, sports…  What do those interests say about you?

Whatever it was (is), there are very few kids or teenagers in the world who feel middle of the road about anything.  As a kid you either love it, or you hate it.  That’s called being passionate.

Here comes the “but”.  But if you’re like most people today, then you probably find yourself doing things half-heartedly, seldom excited about anything on a day-to-day basis. Thus the expression… “same old, same old”.  Surely you can do better than that.

  1. Remember Your Old Favorites

Take a walk down memory lane.  The best way to reconnect to your passions is to think about what you used to love in any and all categories.  When you were younger you probably wanted to be an astronaut or a princess or both (think of movies, free play, and Halloween when you were little) and it’s only as we get older that we are told to find something more ‘adult’ to be interested in.

Those old loves are still there, just beneath the surface.  Get in touch with the kid in you. What have you lost touch with?  What was it that caused a spark in you?

And just because you might not realistically become an astronaut (this isn’t one of those articles), that doesn’t mean you can’t still chase a passion for space, or for travel, or for science and new horizons – whatever it was that originally drove you to feel so strongly.

  1. Give it a New Look

Sometimes you will find that you have lost interest in the things that once were so amazing to you, and if that’s the case, no worries.  Just as easily you can also try adding a new spin to an old passion.

For instance, if you used to love cartoons, maybe you would enjoy comic books, or animation.  Maybe a trip to Disneyworld and experience it through a child’s eyes. Rediscovering old passions is about rekindling respect for the past, leading you into new growth and development and not forcing a square peg back into an old, round hole. Have fun with it, and bring more fun and zest into your life.  Paying attention to your passions very often allows you to get clear on living a purpose-filled life.

  1. Share

Please share your passions with me and this blog with a friend…  As a result of my mother’s background and seeing the child star, Shirley Temple, on TV – I loved to tap dance.  It is upbeat, great exercise and lifts my spirits!

Now it’s your turn…

To Passion!

Our thoughts can make or break our dreams. And mindset is the name of the game when designing a great life.

Think on these thoughts and ask yourself if you are paying attention to your thoughts.

Did you know that we have about 65,000 thoughts each day and 90% of them are the same as the previous day overlapping and wiring neural pathways? Each thought is comparable to data in a computer. Enough repetition and the brain, our own hard drive, is programmed whether it is yours or someone else’s thought.

Life Story Judy Blake

There’s a lot of emphasis these days on writing best-selling books.  The good news is everybody has a story. No shortage of material there.  So, here’s the question:

If you were the author of your own life story what would the title of your book be?

Now, how’s that for motivation to start looking at the life you are living?  Would you organize your book by decades, homes, milestones, success or struggles?  What would you want others to read, learn, or take away from your life story?  There are so many poignant moments in life, so first ask yourself:  “Self, are you living a life comprised of 80-90 years or 1 year 80-90 times?” OUCH!

This life is an awesome gift and in the scheme of time – just a blink.  It begs the question, why do we so often waste it on what others think and limit ourselves from getting in touch with the greatness we already are?  Is it really easier to feel safe, comfortable, or drama-free by suppressing what we really want or who we are?

Clichés are such because of their basic truths – LIFE IS SHORT!  If you are not living a life that fully rocks a vision of your talents, joys, gifts, or desires, then you are settling.

What I do know is that we are more powerful beyond measure, more than what we have ever allowed ourselves to realize, think, and be.  To experience the sheer and utter joy of living, step into your inherent magnificence.  We all are geniuses at something.  So set the time aside, start exercising your imagination, and tap into your genius.  The gift of life is coursing through your veins, nudging if not screaming, for your attention and self-expression. Live the vision.

I’m a firm believer that “You are never too old – it’s never too late, as long as you are ALIVE, you are here to create.  Live on Purpose!”

The world is hungry for your wisdom, knowledge, and expertise.  It’s time to be bold, actualize the life you have often dreamed and get busy!

It would be a privilege to allow me to jumpstart you on writing the next best seller!  If you like this or feel inspired to think more about how you live your life, please share with your family and friends.

Gratitude Thanksgiving Day

Tis the calendar season of gratitude…

Hats off and thanks to the pilgrims for having the courage to set sail into the unknown and begin a new life here in North America!  Upon seeing the untouched abundance of the new world, they celebrated heartily and gratefully with a grand feast.  Wonder what those pilgrims would say now, if they could see how the abundance of that time multiplied exponentially.

Today we live in a different world, but always in a constant state of abundance nonetheless; we no longer have to wait to be awed by it.  In fact, we have to step back and consciously notice it.  Abundance abounds everywhere we are, from the very moment our eyelids open.  For many it is the material view of all the things that we have been able to acquire:  homes, conveniences, cars, furnishings, wealth.

In addition, there are the rich, non-tangible blessings in our hearts for families and dear friends that we are privileged to have in our lives.  Let’s not forget to mention those that are present in our lives who may feel like thorns in our side, yet honor them as true roses; serving as messengers of something we need to work through or learn.

Yes, the attitude of gratitude is a matter of perception and recognition, one that precedes the material expression.  Today we have a clearer understanding of our capability to create and bring into our reality what we are ‘already thankful for’, in lieu of just hoping and praying for it.  We have the unique blessing of knowing just how life’s laws work to create and increase our abundance and prosperity.

Truth be told, it is Thanksgiving everyday with an attitude of gratitude, living in state or spirit of thanks and appreciation.  Doing so enables us to minimize many of the daily stresses, making it more difficult to take for granted all of the bounty that surrounds us all, regardless of income status.

Recently my furnace broke down and I am so much more appreciative of my furnace, the heating repairman, the extra blankets, and the fact that the oven is at least working.  I sat for 3 days in front of an open oven at 400 degrees, while we waited for the part to restore our level of comfort.  Somehow I don’t think the pilgrims had that comfort.  Then again, they did have the bounty of the forest for fresh timber and warm fire.

It’s all relative.  Gratitude Thanksgiving Day

Concepts of Compensation

10 Key Concepts of Compensation:

The Law of Compensation. Ever hear of it? Perhaps not in those terms, but it is one of Life’s fundamental laws that are always running, much like your operating system, whether you’re aware of how it works or not. Compensation simply means equal return for that which is given. It’s not rocket science; you will know if it is not working, if you’re feeling dissatisfied with where things are at in your life.

So, ask yourself, do you find a committed balance in life between the effort you expend and the results that you experience in your work/service, relationships, health, personal freedom or control, versus the investment of quality time, hours, energy, thought, and preparation?  If dissatisfied, most people will claim and attempt to justify that there is some kind of injustice, or make excuses.  Our ‘mistakes’ are not made intentionally, but rather due to our misunderstanding of the law and its miscalculation of how things really work.

So, time to reboot!

  1. Use the keys of this law to lift you out of your current place to that place where you ‘rightfully belong’, living a life you love that is of your design. To not realize that you have both the right and power to achieve success in all aspects is our first limitation.
  2. To not realize that the things that you want that appear outside of you, already exists within you… second limitation.
  3. And to think the dissatisfaction is due to a set of circumstances or condition… third limitation.
  4. Now… Let’s turn it around. Realize the Law doesn’t need to change…Just you. The law is already working for many and may even be working in some aspects of your life, however missing or subpar in other parts of your life. Quite simply it’s a matter of having been operating out of alignment with a higher vibrational truth.
  5. How or what you might ask will it take to shift? Awareness. Start by becoming aware of the repetitive thoughts of the thousands that quickly flash by on a daily basis in your mind.  Emerson, says that, “the key to every man is his thought”, and to be more specific, the ‘right use’ of thought.  See:  Thoughts are Things.
  6. Speak only superior thoughts over any inferior, low vibrational thoughts. No room for blame, gossip, or naysaying! Any snag you have with someone or something is actually based in your mentality somewhere. Own it!

Think constructively of all people, events, and circumstances.

  1. Speak not of scarcity or lack by whining, bemoaning, criticizing, but of solution. Unlimited thinking requires a change in your perception and noticing instead the ideal or value of the condition. Ask yourself, “How can I see this differently? If it were better what would I imagine it to look like?”
  2. Once you change the vision of what you see, so too will the condition. The power is in the perception. Focus on creating and living a life you love; it’s up to you, as you are the driving force behind the why, the reason, and the motivation of your choices.
  3. When old habits start creeping up… and they will, give your attention to the ideal vision to override the habit of being pulled back into a fruitless comfort zone. Making the commitment with a mentor makes a significant difference, in living a life that is charged with zest, vitality, and accelerated results!
  4. Think of the law of compensation as you would of your bank deposits. Every time you choose constructive, positive thoughts, you are making a very wise investment in your personal and business accounts.

Free will and choice are givens. So whether it’s in the  workplace, home or play, these concepts are applicable across the board. Ask what is life giving back to you today? Happiness, health, abundance, or dissatisfaction, negativity, and lack?  You already know the answer, so with more awareness, take action!

Make a difference in your life and the lives of others.  Share this with those who matter… that would be everyone!

Make it a Great Day, as each day adds up to be a Great Life!
